The first Kasabian album is one of my favourite CD's (yes I still use them) to put on whilst driving. In my opinion, it's one of the best albums of the last decade and it's a great album for losing yourself in the drive.
Here's a track called "I.D", let's see what Oppo makes of my music taste.

I do like Kasabian, their debut is very good indeed! I was spinning it for months when I discovered it a while after its release. I like "L.S.F." a lot!
I can recommend you TOY for "losing yourself in the drive". They balance krauty rhythms and melodic psych-pop/-rock on their two albums - a bit like The Horrors. This is "Fall Out Of Love", the longest song on their newest album:

I'm liking this tune a lot, I'll have to look into more of this! I love how the pace of it is kind of the same as the pace objects pass by as you look out of a car window. It reminds me a little of The Strokes too, who are right up there with Kasabian, R.E.M and Gorillaz fighting to be my favourite band.
